Please keep in mind that the Copper River is divided into two subdistricts for management purposes. Users may participate in ONLY ONE of these two fisheries in any given year.

The Glennallen Subdistrict is classified as a subsistence fishery, and either fishwheels or dipnets are allowable gear. No sport fishing license is required for this fishery. These permits are ONLY available at local DF&G offices in Anchorage, Palmer, Glennallen, etc.

The Chitina Subdistrict  is classified as a personal use fishery, and dipnets are the only allowable gear. Sport fishing license is required for this fishery. Permits are available at local retailers such as Fred Meyer's, Sportsman's Warehouse, & Mountain View Sports.

Optional DIPNET Protection:  $10
Previously provided at no cost, each season dipnets are being lost & damaged at an alarming rate.  To offset this cost,  we are providing a couple  options that will be available to our customers at the of time of booking.
1. You can opt into the dipnet protection for $10. This fee will cover ONE lost dipnet or torn net per person, per charter.
2. You can opt out. However, you will be responsible for the replacement cost of the damaged or lost dipnet. Cost will vary depending on dipnet configuration & what part of the dipnet was lost or damaged. (max cost per dipnet is $200, replacement net is $35 ea).

BRING YOUR BOAT COOLERS:
Previously provided at no cost, coolers will no longer be provided on the charter. We will however have 28 gallon brute trash cans for your use. These are smaller and hold less fish but when full are lighter to handle and are not easly broken like our coolers have been in the past. We encourage you to bring your own boat coolers and ice to keep your catch cold and fresh. Having your own cooler also helps with fish sorting underway and speeds up offloading of your catch at the end of the charter. We will assist you in carrying your catch to your vehicle if needed.

*BOOKING NOTES AND FEES:
To offer this discounted price the payment must be paid in full at time of booking. (saves us time in chasing down multiple payments)
If we have to manage multiple payments or "split the check" an additional $20 fee will be added per person calling in payments.
Proxy permits are allowed but will be charged $50 per permit and can be added at time of booking or riverside.
A re-booking fee of $25 per reservation will be applied if re-scheduleing your charter is needed.

It can be difficult to forecast the timing of the fish runs. God knows everyone tries! Sometimes the personal use is hot, sometimes the subsistence fishery is. It's can be a tough call when booking charters in advance. With our "Book the Boat" option, you simply book the boat with 4 people and contact us prior to your charter and we will give you the scoop on which fishery is running better and how Department of Fish and Game Emergency Orders may affect your charter. Your party will be responsible for showing up with the appropriate permits on the date and time of your reservation. Keep in mind the the Glennallen Subsistence permit is ONLY AVAILABLE from DF&G during normal business hours and NOT on weekends or holidays. Contact them for hours of operation to obtain this permit.
